Fur stole

Fur, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.
I was wearing my mink stole on Sunday. We celebrated Christmas early since many of us will be away for the holidays. The stole is old and my Mom got it from our Canadian side of the family. It is now somehow in my possession. It's gorgeous but there's not many occasions to wear it. It is also badly in need of repair: the lining is coming apart (you can even see it in the photo at the back of my neck). The dress is thrifted, originally from Rils. I love their dresses! The gold necklace used to belong to my grandma and the gold earrings are from India.

Wearing the scarf

Raspberry scarf, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

Here I am wearing the raspberry scarf that I knitted. The down jacket is from Sisley. I got it on a freezing-cold winter trip to Italy (Verona, I think?). I am also wearing my signature beret. It is now minus 15 degrees Celcius in Helsinki so we really need these warm clothes. Luckily, my husband and I take off for 2 months in Goa in just over a week. So you can expect to see lots of summer looks in this blog in the near future.

Winters in Goa

Winters in Goa, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

This is another of my ab fave blogs! And she's now doing a series called "reader dig explained". I asked her what to wear for my upcoming trip to Goa and she created this inspiring piece of artwork just for my benefit. Sweet!

So I am now officially the Pink Lady who winters in Goa! ;-)

I finally finished my first knitting project ever! The scarf is over 2 meters long. I have been inspired by Missoni's extra-long scarves.

Bedroom

Bedroom, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

This photo of a guest bedroom concludes the series on this gorgeous house. I love it so much that I feel I could just move in and feel right at home - I would not need to change anything.

Still from the same house as the previous posts. The chair is amazing!!

House

House, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

The house itself. Still the same one as in the previous posts. I'd love to have a house like this, but in Italy instead of in the UK.

Games room

The games room of the same house as in the previous posts.

I read the magazine article where these photos are taken from and the house is a former stable block built in 1730. The owner is Jamaican-born John Pringle. So this is indeed a man's house. It seems that I share his tastes since I find everything in his house delectable!

The gorgeous library of the same house as in the previous posts.

This is the dining area of the same house as in the previous posts. Again, quite utilitarian but still very cozy and warm.

Kitchen

Again, industrial chic, this time in the kitchen. This is the same house as in the previous post. Love it!

Bath

I love the industrial chic of this bathroom. This is actually the same bathroom that I posted a photo of a couple of posts ago. This is scanned from a magazine.

H & M

H & M, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

I love this look from an H & M ad which is made new by little things: the belt worn high on the waist over the shirt, the rolled up pant legs, the jeans with high heels.

I love the clean, uncluttered lines of this British bathroom. You can tell that only a man lives here. This is scanned from a British decorating magazine but I forget which one.

J'adore Dior. I love this whole look.

Mittens

Mittens, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

My old mittens feel really fashionable again this season. And no, I have not knitted these myself, they are store-bought. However, I could learn to knit ones like this now.

Scarf project

My scarf project is advancing at lightning speed. I already finished three balls of yarn and now need to buy one more. I added pom-poms to the end of the scarf and it's now already more than one meter in length - but it needs to be 1,5 m.

Ordning & Reda

I have the girliest possible laptop skin & matching make-up bag. The latter doubles as an evening clutch.

Breakfast

Breakfast, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

My idea of a perfect breakfast: capuccino, croissant & fresh OJ - well, close to fresh, it's really Tropicana orange juice. Not the healthiest option in the world perhaps but I simply love it. The only thing missing is some fresh berries but you can't have it all...

Raspberry scarf

Raspberry scarf, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.
I've said many times that this season's knits galore make me want to break out my knitting needles - well, I finally did. Here's my first project: a big scarf. I'll post photos once it's finished, i.e. probably in a couple of days since it's nearly finished now.

This is from another of my fave fashion blogs: Style Bubble. Perhaps I should take up petit point & stiching as well...it seems to be all the rage right now.

Mia Frilander

Mia Frilander, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

Love this look, as seen in the Finnish magazine Gloria. This was an article presenting model Mia Frilander's personal style.

Great Burberry coat (I have a similar one in light pink) and gorgeous shoes - I want a pair!

Silver

Silver, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

Love the colour of this sweater, as seen on this blog:

I have taken up knitting, so I am now looking at knits with a different eye, i.e. I am getting ideas for what to knit next...

Trinity

My favourite fashion blog - the one that I always check first - is Rumi Neely's Fashion Toast. A beautiful girl with a beautiful blog and, above all, an amazing sense of style.

Shredded knit

This gorgeous photo is also from Hanneli. Love the shredded sweater...so now we know what to do to sweaters that start to get worn down or that we get bored with.

SJP

A gorgeous photo of Sarah Jessica Parker (one of my fave actors) from another great fashion blog:

In spite of her Finnish name, Hanneli Mustaparta is Norwegian.

MaxMara

Great look....but I like this ad more because of the photography equipment: I'm seriously trying to learn more about the technology side of photography.

Gant shades

Gant shades, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

I am diggin' the Gant shades...and yes, I'd like to buy those too....

Gant watch

I really love this watch by Gant and am seriously considering buying it.

Gant

Gant, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

I had to post this ad for Gant. Simply because I love the books they are carrying. I love old books - and books that look old...and well, actually I just love ALL books.

Rosa Korhonen

Rosa Korhonen, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

I love, love, LOVE this photo. It's scanned from a Finnish fashion mag (I now forget which one). This is Finnish model Rosa Korhonen.

I love everything about this photo: including her leather shorts, her total look, her pose, the pile of mags on the floor and the background. This photo is just perfection!!

Furry boots

This gorgeous photo is from one of my all-time fave fashion blogs:

http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/

I love everything about this photo, but especially the girl's legs! Makes me want to get to the gym... :-)

A dress from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Here's why they used to have double-doors in the 19th century.

More Chinese style, this time from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Vuitton

Vuitton, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

I love this Louis Vuitton dress. Notice the hemline - it's actually a cross between a dress and a pair of harem pants or something.

As seen on vogue.com

Shearling

Shearling, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

I love this look from H&M. However, in Finland it's no longer possible to wear these types of outfits. It's a bit depressing to look at Fashion Blogs when it seems to be so much warmer than in Finland absolutely everywhere. The only blog that features clothes for this type of weather is Style by Kling, since Elin lives in Stockholm.

This was taken on a gorgeous sunny morning in Bangalore. Our first apartment in India had this amazing traditional Indian furniture.

Fave diet meal

Fave diet meal, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

I mentioned in a previous post that I am currently on a diet. This is my fave low-carb diet meal: steak and Greek salad. Although mostly I'll even skip the steak and have only the salad.

Cloudy sky in Kallio

This is taken from the window of our apartment in Kallio, Helsinki, Finland. I am currently taking a photography class and I am showing off my new-found skills in this photo. You have to use the manual settings of the camera to get this photo since there is such a stark contract between the sky and the dark roof. If I had used the automatic settings, the roof would just have been all black.

Jean Paul Gaultier wallet

I got this gorgeous JP Gaultier wallet in India at 70% off. It's great because it doubles as an evening bag as well.
